Think of this site as a short introduction. You tell us what's going on with your roof in Knox County, Tennessee, and we connect you with one roofer who works near you. From that point, you and the roofer deal with each other directly.
Roofers may pay us for the referrals they receive. That is how the site is funded. Homeowners never pay us anything, whether or not they hire the roofer.

What Happens After You Submit
- Send a request. Fill in the form or call (865) 555-0147. Share your address, the roof's rough age and what you've seen.
- We pick one roofer. Your request goes to a single independent roofer serving your area. We don't sell it to a list.
- The roofer visits. They contact you to set a time, inspect the roof and talk through what it needs.
- You read the estimate. The roofer gives you a written estimate. Compare it, ask questions, or say no. You owe nothing for saying no.
Who the Roofers Are
The roofers are independent businesses. They aren't our staff, and we don't vouch for any of them, so please check for yourself. In Knox County, Tennessee counts roofing as home improvement. A residential job of $3,000 to $24,999 requires a state Home Improvement license, and a job of $25,000 or more requires a state contractor license. Outside Knox County, the $25,000 contractor license is the state rule. Any permit for home improvement work must show the roofer's license number.
- Look up the license. Search the roofer's name at verify.tn.gov and match the license to the size of your job.
- Ask for proof of insurance. Get the certificate in writing before the tear-off starts.
- Get the warranties on paper. You want both the manufacturer warranty and the roofer's labor warranty in writing.
- Insist on an itemized contract. Tear-off, decking, underlayment, flashing and cleanup should each be spelled out.
- Check for a local address and references. A roofer you can find next year is worth more than a low price today.
- Keep the deposit small. The Tennessee Attorney General warns against paying more than one-third up front or signing over a whole insurance check before the work is done.

What's Included, What's Not
We keep our role narrow on purpose. We never offer you a gift, rebate, credit or reward of any kind. We don't cover or waive deductibles; you pay your own, and a roofer who offers to absorb it is showing you a warning sign. We don't negotiate with insurers or advise on claims. A roofer can document the damage, but the claim is between you and your insurance company.
On an insurance-paid roof, Tennessee gives you until midnight of the third business day after your insurer says in writing that all or part of the claim isn't covered to cancel the contract. Permits are the roofer's job; inside city limits they go through City of Knoxville Plans Review and Inspections, and outside them through Knox County Codes Administration.
